Stirring Storms began as an ink drawing in a sketchbook, and has since grown into a recurring symbol for me that I have been using with a variety of mediums and for a variety of purposes.
I wanted to try and make my own fabric. I used repurposed vintage linen sheets (thanks mum and dad) I made the sketch into a screen print.
After lining up the screen along the guide timber I repeated the pattern to make the fabric.
I really enjoy screenprinting so this was such a delight to see a usable fabric evolve from a tiny sketch.
I printed out pattern pieces to make a button up shirt.
I've been experimenting using the image with laser engraving. This is a three layered acrylic brooch with acrylic fill.
Worked out the positioning of the print and chopped it up (had some fur help)
